The Second Luxury Travel Reader LT Readers Awards winners was announced and published in January 2008 issue of the UK magazine with Bali voted as Best Exotic Destination topped Borneo, Da Nang, Vietnam, Fiji, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Mauritius, North Island, Seychelles, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
The award, -held to honor the destinations, travel companies, airlines, hotels and resorts that its readers know meet the needs of the demanding premium market-, was handed to the Indonesian Ambassador in London representing the Bali island, the people and local government of Bali to be soon delivered to Bali.
The award alone will be the 4th award at least, received by Bali island in 2007, after awarded similar categories by 2 large Asia magazine publications and another from USA. In addition The Time magazine have 3 times awarded Bali as best destination, with the last was in 2006. In 2007 Bali was visited by 1.6 millions visitors, with this year’s projection sees the number to increase to about 2.1 millions.
