over 1,000 people from more than 100 nations – including Government officials, business leaders, law enforcement personnel, journalists, entertainers and civil society representatives – will convene in Bali, Indonesia, later this month for a United Nations conference on curbing corruption

US government has confirmed attendance to the UN meeting in Bali on Dec. 3-14, amidst world’s pressure for US and other “big polluters” countries to accept binding targets to reduce the pollution linked to global warming, saying it recognized the importance of the meeting that will lead to a new approach on energy security and climate change.

Prime Minister John Howard and Indonesia’s President described the new $7 million hospital as a practical and living memorial and tribute to the Australians who died in the 2002 and 2005 Bali terrorist bombings.
