The number of tourists visited Indonesia, including island of Bali, rose 13 percent to 5.51 million in 2007 from 4.87 million in 2006, data from the Central Bureau of Statistics published Friday.Tourist arrivals through Indonesia’s 15 main entry points nationwide grew 13.4 percent to 4.54 million in 2007, according to the released figures.

For the 6th consecutive year in the row Bali has again elected as the world’s best island by readers of Travel and Leisure Magazine. This year Bali top Maui, Kauai, Galápagos Islands, Santorini, Phuket and Hawaii islands in each between 2nd to 10th position.
